As the apartment industry continues to seek solutions for our businesses and our residents during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are monitoring the next response from Congress. Will they expand and extend, or more narrowly tailor, the eviction moratorium? Will owners and operators be subject to frivolous litigation for opening amenities and common spaces or will Congress provide liability protections? Now is the time for members of Congress to provide real relief and the National Apartment Association Political Action Committee (NAAPAC) is watching very closely as we head into the fall campaign.
